Students created a twist to their annual RAG Week this year by dressing up according to different themes each day which not only brought excitement and fun to the school but also helped raise awareness and funds for charitable causes.
The week kicked off with an energetic dodgeball competition between students and staff followed by a wonderful Christmas lunch including a festive karaoke session where students sang Christmas songs and hits from their generation.
The famous RAG Fayre was a resounding success, with students from all year groups participating in various activities including a penalty shootout, photo booth, Wii Sports, lucky dip, face painting, and more. Attendees also enjoyed hotdogs, candyfloss, and a bake sale in a vibrant atmosphere that brought together staff and students from across the whole school community as well as raise important funds and awareness for their two chosen charities.
An incredibly impressive delivery of clothes, food and toiletry donations was made to the Caring at Christmas initiative, making a significant impact on the lives of the homeless in Bristol and gave Gordano Sixth Form students the opportunity to develop their leadership and organisation skills by co-ordinating the whole project from start to finish.
A truly memorable moment was the performance of "Feliz Navidad" by students, accompanied by staff from the Modern Foreign Languages faculty. The total funds raised through the events and donations were remarkable and all credit goes to the Sixth Form committee for organising such a fun-filled and successful week. We are so proud of their dedication and hard work
